The theme of Gerard's SS COLLECTION for 2024 is "SPROUT".
In line with this theme, we developed a 10.5 oz light-ounce denim called LASTRESORT "Blue Tag", which faithfully reproduces painter pants from the 1940s.
This denim was created by dismantling LEE coveralls from the 1940s, analyzing the threads, and studying the characteristics of vintage color fading.
As a result, we created denim with a similar vertical fading feel.
We also reproduced all the accessories that came with the deadstock Housemark overalls made during the war, and paid particular attention to the design, even down to the name and flasher.
The flasher, which is usually made of paper, is made of non-woven fabric, made of a material that will not tear even when washed, and the union ticket sewn into the pocket is also sewn in with a single stroke. The adjuster that adjusts the length of the shoulder straps, the buttons that fasten the shoulder straps, and the buttons on the waist are also realistically reproduced with laurel iron buttons.
The snap buttons that secure the bib pockets are also made of iron, specifically to recreate this model.
The sewing thread is also divided into white and black, and the front extensions, shoulder straps, and hem are sewn in black, giving the impression of a more subdued, adult workwear than sewing everything in white.
The silhouette is slightly thicker so that you can enjoy a slightly looser workwear look.
As you wear them, the uneven threads of three different thicknesses will each appear, and you can enjoy the random vertical fading.
